The Windsor Heart diamond is a 47.14 carat heart-shaped fancy intense yellow diamond that has a romantic story behind it. Originally set in a ring, it was owned by the Duchess of Windsor, Wallis Simpson, the wife of King Edward VIII who abdicated the throne for love of her.The diamond was sold in the 1970's to Estee Lauder, the creator of the famous cosmetic company who had it mounted in a diamond necklace.
It was recently included in a Sotheby's sale of Estee Lauder's jewelry and sold for $2,546,500 million!
